Directions & Lake History/Factoid
Directions: Directions to Afton Landing: From Muskogee, Travel north on US-69 toward Wagoner for approximately 13
miles. Turn right on OK-51 W and travel west for approximately 5 miles.
Turn left on E. 731 Road and travel west for approximately .3 mile. Turn
left on S. 221 Rd. and travel south for .5 mile to park entrance.
Lake History
Factoid: Named for Col. Auguste P. Chouteau, whose father built a shipyard on the river bank to build keelboats for the fur trade.
