A Military Installation may apply for the Academy Gold Medal Armed Forces Recreation Award if it is recognized by the Branch of Service and the Office of Secretary of Defense as a Military Installation providing recreational opportunities for military personnel and other eligible patrons, as directed by DoD instructions 1015.10 Military Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Programs (excluding Child Care).
