Process

ELIGIBILITY:
A Military Installation may apply for the Academy Gold Medal Armed Forces Recreation Award if it is recognized by the Branch of Service and the Office of Secretary of Defense as a Military Installation providing recreational opportunities for military personnel and other eligible patrons, as directed by DoD instructions 1015.10 Military Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Programs (excluding Child Care). Application

    There are multiple parts to the application process. Review and complete all parts of the application. There is a supplement submission for finalists.

    Armed Forces Application is provided in PDF format for viewing. Only the online version will be the acceptable format for the application process.

    Online Application
    Entering your online application may be done in several sessions. Once you have entered your name and email address a file has been created for your application. To return to your application, follow the instructions.

  • Award applications must be submitted by Sunday, March 31, 2013!
  • Online Application/Program Brochure Deadline
  • Service Representative Notified at time of submission.
  • Week of April 29 - Notification of Finalists -Notifications delayed until May 31
  • July 12, 2013 - Deadline for finalists Strategic/Master Plan (No Video required)

Notifications
