Customer Comment Card Program

Headquarters POC: Recreation Management Support Program

General Guidelines for conducting comment card surveys in 2013-2014:
NOTE: Although the March 11, 2008 CWCW-CO memorandum notes the 2013-14 survey as mandatory, Divisions and Districts have the choice of making this year's survey optional (voluntary). We are taking this action to give Divisions and Districts the flexibility to manage comment card efforts with other field efforts scheduled this summer to align traffic meter placement/documentation with PSA changes and meter "best practices". This is required to implement the VERS modernization program in early CY 2014.

The Comment Card Surveys are to be conducted in a 3-consecutive month survey cycle. This cycle would ideally correspond to the three consecutive months of the highest monthly visitation. The survey cycles are as follows; they are based on the season rather than on the fiscal year or the calendar year:

    April/May/June
    May/June/July
    June/July/August
    July/August/September
    August/September/October
    September/October/November
    October/November/December
    November/December/January
    December/January/February
    January/February/March
    February/March/April
    March/April/May

The procedures will be similar to last year. No changes have been made to the survey schedule generator. A life jacket logo has been added to the back of the card to help promote water safety.

Important Notes:

  • The last day to enter data collected as part of the 2012-13 survey year is 30 June 2013. After this date, the 2012-13 data entry tools will be taken offline and the 2013-14 data entry tools will be brought online.
