Public Fatality Reduction Initiative
This memorandum announces the Corps' goal to reduce public recreation fatalities by 50% by the end of FY14. The execution of this goal will require the support and effort of all Divisions, Districts, Directorates and offices. The two enclosures included with this memorandum, the "USACE Public Recreation Fatality FY98-FY11 Summary" and the "Strategic Campaign Plan for Reducing Public Fatalities", should each be carefully reviewed and utilized in concert with your individual efforts to achieve this important and vital goal.
